Battery Upgrade Comparison
PACK COMPARISON
A side-by-side look at new-cell packs versus remanufactured packs for the Nissan Leaf — using Greentec Auto's own published prices and range estimates.
New Cells vs. Remanufactured Modules
VIVNE and MTG replace your aging battery with a brand-new pack built on Grade-A CATL NMC cells — never used, never refurbished.
Greentec Auto's Leaf packs are remanufactured, meaning they are rebuilt from Nissan modules that have already seen years of service.
Here is how the two compare, using Greentec Auto's published prices and range estimates.
Price & Range Comparison
| Pack | Metric | VIVNE / MTG | Greentec Auto |
|---|---|---|---|
| 40 kWh | Price | $8,254 | $6,499 |
| Range | 174 miles | 100–130 miles | |
| Cost per mile | ~$47 / mile | $50–$65 / mile | |
| 62 kWh | Price | $9,897 | $14,499 |
| Range | 267 miles | 200–240 miles | |
| Cost per mile | ~$37 / mile | $60–$72 / mile |
What the Numbers Mean
62 kWh
VIVNE/MTG is $4,602 (about 32%) cheaper
At 62 kWh, VIVNE/MTG costs $4,602 less than Greentec Auto and delivers 27 to 67 more miles of range.
40 kWh
$1,755 more up front — but more range and lower cost per mile
At 40 kWh, the VIVNE/MTG pack costs $1,755 more. That premium buys a new-cell pack with 44 to 74 more miles of range and a lower cost per mile of range.
Warranty Comparison
2-year / 80,000 km
Every VIVNE battery pack carries a 2-year / 80,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, starting from the delivery date.
3-year (36 months)
Every MTG battery pack carries a 3-year (36-month) warranty starting from the date of purchase.
12–48 months, unlimited miles
Coverage runs from 12 to 48 months with unlimited miles, depending on the car model and battery type. For Nissan Leaf packs, Greentec lists 24–36 months of unlimited mileage coverage. The warranty runs from the date of purchase, is never restarted, is transferable once within 30 days of vehicle sale, and does not cover commercial use.
